Hank Jr. Assault Case Dropped
Memphis prosecutors dropped a misdemeanor assault case against Hank Williams Jr. February 23rd because "we didn’t feel we had a case we could prove," District Attorney Bill Gibbons said.
Local cocktail waitress Holly Hornbeak testified that on March 18th, 2006, Williams left marks and bruised her necked after screaming obscenities at her in a hotel.
Though Hornbeak subsequently claimed not to be motivated by money, a private attorney hired by her parents reportedly demanded $250,000 from Williams two days after the alleged assault.
