James Brown Interred – For Now

The body of James Brown was finally placed in a crypt at the Beech Island, S.C., home of one of his daughters, more than two months after his death.

The Reverend Al Sharpton presided over the private March 10th ceremony attended by Brown’s family, including his partner Tomi Rae Hynie and the couple’s young son. The crypt is not Brown’s final resting place, however.

A public mausoleum is being built to house the body, the location of which will be announced when completed.
