A Pennsylvania township recently won a $250,000 state grant to revamp a nearby park, and plans will not only include new recreational fields and landscaping, but a new amphitheatre and concession stand on the 20-acre site.
Residents of Solebury township raised more than $30,000 in private donations to help fund the $1.6 million renovation of Laurel Park, the Courier Times of Bucks County reported.
Township manager John Granger told the paper the town will issue a request for proposals next year, and 12 to 18 months of construction will follow.
