Live Nation Promotes Morrow

Four execs at Live Nation have been promoted including Kevin Morrow, who will move from chief talent buyer for the House of Blues chain to senior VP of club and theatre programming for Live Nation, the company announced March 26th.

Morrow will now oversee booking at the Fillmores in San Francisco and Denver as well as coordinate the club and theatre business for Live Nation, which bought the House of Blues clubs last year.

That means he’ll be on conference calls with House of Blues buyers and Live Nation buyers at the same time, which suits him fine.

"I get to work with Rich Best, Perry Lavoisne, Geoff Gordon, Rick Mueller and all the guys from Live Nation, whom I had been working with on the club level for 10 years anyway, and now they’re on the same team as Michael Yerke, Sonny Schneidau, Jim Mallonee, and Max McAndrew," Morrow told Pollstar. "That’s pretty cool."

Ben Weeden has been promoted to the position of senior VP of arena and amphitheatre programming. Weeden was most recently VP of operations for the company and spent five years as director of European touring.

Ryan McElrath has been named VP of arena and amphitheatre programming, working as a liaison between Live Nation and the agents/managers, according to a company statement.

David Pennington has been appointed director of finance, national touring.
