The first leg of Vince Gill: The Friends and Family Tour, Featuring Amy Grant and the Del McCoury Band kicks off July 14 at Atlanta’s Chastain Park Amphiteatre and runs through July 22 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala.

The second set starts off with an appearance August 29 at the Minnesota State Fair in Saint Paul, and wraps up September 11 at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M.

Gill has been out on the road supporting his latest album, These Days, a four-disc release of new material. Each disc represents a different style of music, and Gill wrote or co-wrote each of the 43 songs.

His current gigs aren’t just country; they’re a tour de force demonstration of Gill’s formidable talents. Anyone familiar with his music knows he can deliver bluegrass, country, straight-up rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and beyond. This tour showcases those facets on every stop.

Gill is also taking part in Eric Clapton’s second July 28 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. Clapton’s vision for the Crossroads Guitar Festival has been to create an event where his friends and contemporaries can have fun and jam together for the benefit of a good cause.

This year’s hootenanny will feature a full day of musical performances with once-in-a- blue-moon guitar collaborations. The roster of artists spans dozens of artists old and new, including B.B. King, John Mayer, Gill and Los Lobos.

Following the second set of co-headlining dates with her husband, Grant is booked to play half a dozen shows on her own through October and early November including dates at Casino Rama in Ontario, the Crystal Grand Theatre in Wisconsin Dells and Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem, N.C.
