David will host a kick-off party for the tour sponsored by ELLE Magazine April 5 in Los Angeles with special performances by Crow and KT Tunstall.

The tour gets rolling in earnest April 9 in Dallas at Southern Methodist University’s McFarlin Auditorium and will wrap up April 22 at George Washington University’s Smith Center in Washington, D.C., where Crow and David will be joined by several special guests for a celebration of Earth Day.

The 90-minute presentation includes remarks by David, a short performance by Crow, clips from “An Inconvenient Truth,” and pre-recorded humorous messages from several top comedians.

During the two-week tour, students, university leaders, faculty and staff will be encouraged to join the Stop Global Warming Virtual March and have their voices counted when Crow and David deliver a message from millions of Americans to Congress on April 23.

More information on the tour and the virtual march is available at stopglobalwarming.org or stopglobalwarming.msn.com.Crow says the time for inaction has passed, and it’s important to involve young people in the battle.

“The more I learn about global warming, the more I know that we all have to do something to be a part of the solution,” Crow said.

“I am thrilled Laurie and I have the opportunity to go on the road and combine our efforts to educate the next generation on how they can make a difference.”
