Beach Boys Get No Love From Court

A U.S. District Court judge in Los Angeles threw out a multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed by The Beach Boys against a memorabilia collector and a warehouse owner, ruling April 10th that the band failed to prove its case.

The group claimed that collector Ray Sciacca, warehouse owner Allen Gaba and Gem Systems Inc. "stole, misappropriated or otherwise improperly, wrongfully or illegally" acquired property that Sciacca attempted to auction in October 2005.

In their complaint, The Beach Boys alleged that, after storing memorabilia, sheet music and instruments in Gaba’s warehouse, 13 to 25 boxes of property went missing in 1994 only to find Sciacca auctioning them off in 2005.
