Former Grateful Dead Manager Sentenced
Ronald Rakow, a former manager for the Grateful Dead, has been sentenced to five years in prison for tax evasion.
The U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles says Rakow hid his assets to avoid paying more than $2 million in taxes.
Rakow, 69, had sought a lighter sentence, but the judge said he chose to break the law to support his "comfortable lifestyle.”
