IpayOne Out In San Diego

Officials at the ipayOne Center in San Diego recently began the search for a new naming-rights sponsor after the Carlsbad-based real estate brokerage that took on the $2.5 million deal in 2005 began defaulting on its agreement.

IpayOne signed on for five years with facility operator Arena Group 2000 but apparently began missing payments during the last year.

Under the terms of Arena Group’s lease, the city will receive 10 percent of any naming-rights agreement the company signs with a new sponsor.
