Last fall, the band stated it would make no plans beyond summer 2007, as SCI guitarist Billy Nershi would be leaving the group to explore a different musical path.

Now, on the heels of five sold-out, home-state shows for their annualWinter Carnival, the band announces its summer tour, which stops inmarkets that hold plenty of SCI and features some of the band’s favorite kindsof shows – namely weekend camping events with plenty of musical friends intow.

Dates begin on July 12 with a three night run at the BeaconTheatre in New York City. Then the band skips to the West Coast for twonights at Berkeley’s Greek Theatre on July 21 & 22, withspecial guests Sound Tribe Sector 9 on Saturday and Railroad Earth onSunday.

The weekend of July 27-29 will include three nights in Oregon, at avenue still to be determined. Details will be announced on the band’s web site.

Then, the Big Summer Classic will return in the form of a three-day camping festival on the weekend of August 3-5.

In the tradition of the inaugural BSC tour in summer of 2005, theweekend will feature a slew of SCI’s musical friends. Confirmed sofar are Los Lobos, Yonder Mountain String Band, JJ Grey & Mofro,TheWailers, EOTO and many others to be announced. Visit for more information.
