The band will kick off their solo dates April 26 at the recently re-christened Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza before jetting to the west coast to play at Coachella Festival in Indio, Calif., April 28. Other cities on the band’s headlining trek include Sacramento, Calif., Salt Lake City, Denver, and Scottsdale, Ariz.

The second wave of The Fratellis’ assault comes courtesy of seven dates supporting Black Rebel Motorcycle Club beginning May 5 in Tempe, Ariz., and running through May 13 in Seattle.

The band’s plans for the summer include three dates opening for The Police (June 13, July 19 and August 5), an appearance at this year’s in Chicago on August 3, and another North American headlining run in July.

The Fratellis’ debut, Costello Music – which was released last September in the U.K., was recorded in L.A. with Beck producer Tony Hoffer, and entered the U.K. charts at no. 2. The album also earned the band the title of Best British Breakthrough Act at this year’s Brit Awards. The twangy, insanely catchy first single, “Flathead,” was featured last February in a commercial for Apple’s iPod.
