The singer will mark the beginning of the tour with a performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” April 17, before kicking things off that evening at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Other cities on Martin’s 20-city trek through the States and Canada include Fresno, Calif. (April 18), Las Vegas (April 21), Toronto (April 30), Corpus Christi, Texas (May 10), San Antonio (May 12), Albuquerque (May 16) and Miami (May 19).

Besides promoting Unplugged, Martin’s tour is designed to help raise awareness of the singer’s charity organization The Ricky Martin Foundation, as well as his humanitarian works. The foundation advocates for the well being of children around the globe in critical areas like social justice, education and health.

Martin has also testifed before Congress on the prevention of child trafficking, worked with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for Tsunami victims and partnered with Bill Gates in Navega Protegido, a program designed to increase the online safety of children in Latin America.

A portion of the price of each ticket sold for the tour will be donated to Martin’s Foundation.
