Francis’ 33-city Human the Death Dance Tour launches with a pair of two night stands – May 23 and 24 at the Middle East Club in Cambridge, Mass., and May 25 and 26 at New York’s Bowery Ballroom – and will touch down in well known theatres and clubs all over the country including The Masquerade in Atlanta, Dallas’ Granada Theater, San Diego’s SOMA, the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, Colo., and Chicago’s Abby Pub before finishing up with a homecoming show July 12 at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Francis’ hometown of Providence, R.I.

Rounding out the rest of the bill on the tour will be Canadian hip-hopper, MC and turntablist Buck 65, West coast abstract hip-hopper Alias, and spoken word poet Buddy Wakefield, who is also signed to Francis’ label, Strange Famous Records.

Francis will be backed by a live band for the tour consisting of Tom Inhaler on guitar, Alias on synth and MPC, and Dilly Dilly (formerly of Cerberus Shoal) on “various instruments.”

Francis’ latest opus, Human the Death Dance, is due to land May 8. The CD and double vinyl version of the album are currently on pre-sale on his web site, and come with not only a 36 page booklet containing the album’s lyrics and background stories to the songs, but also a limited edition instrumental CD of the album, a “You Can’t Kill Me Motherfucker” button, a signed poster, a full color HTDD sticker and a Strange Famous Records sticker.
