PMI Strikes Back

Oshkosh, Wis., city officials have been critical of facility operator PMI, which manages the city-owned Leach Amphitheatre – as detailed in our May 14th issue.

The city has been questioning why PMI has not brought in bigger acts (one city official allegedly asked PMI chief Ken Wachter why Roger Waters wasn’t coming to town).

Wachter countered that bringing marquee acts to the city in a competitive market is daunting.

Score one for PMI: a week after talking to Pollstar, Wachter’s company landed The Black Crowes for a July 7th performance.
