Prince For Long Reign At O2
The news that Prince has upped his run of O2 Arena shows to 15 coincided with the announcement that the London venue has sold its millionth ticket.
That makes it a lot more of a draw than the old Millennium Dome that it replaced, and it doesn’t even open until next month.
Prince sold out seven 20,000-capacity shows at The O2 main arena within the space of a morning and then quickly added another eight. The venue’s opening season is packed with world-class acts including Barbra Streisand, Justin Timberlake, Scissor Sisters, and The Rolling Stones. First up is Bon Jovi June 24th.
Indig02, a 2,300-capacity room an O2 statement release describes as "cutting-edge," is launching with Jools Holland on July 2, followed by Natalie Cole, Cake, Youssou N’Dour, and Aimee Mann.
The £31.21 tickets for the Prince shows come with a free copy of his latest album. VIP Gold Circle tickets are available for all the dates at £235 each.
Prince’s O2 dates run throughout August and mid-September.
