Mike Love Lawsuit Tossed

A U.S. District Court judge in Los Angeles has thrown out a lawsuit Mike Love filed against his cousin Brian Wilson in 2005.

The suit claimed that when Wilson distributed a free CD of re-recorded Beach Boys songs during a promotion for the U.K. release of Wilson’s Smile (originally written as a Beach Boys project), the distribution violated a "partnership" and Love and the group experienced financial losses, according to the Los Angeles Times.

But in her decision, Judge Audrey Collins wrote there were "no triable issues of material fact," and dismissed the case May 17th.
