Nashville Arena Becomes Sommet Center

The Nashville Arena, recently known as the Gaylord Entertainment Center, formally became the Sommet Center May 18th.

Terms of the naming-rights deal were not disclosed, but Nashville Predators owner Craig Leipold said the number of years is in the single digits with multiple opportunities for renewal, the Tennessean reported. Powers Management Company, a subsidiary of the NHL’s Nashville Predators franchise, operates the 20,000-capacity venue.

The Sommet Group, based in Franklin, Tenn., provides payroll, human resources administration and other business services.

It became a sponsor of the Predators last year and was the team’s first corporate sponsor during this year’s Stanley Cup playoff run.
