2 Die At Hookahville Fest
Two people who attended the annual Hookahville festival near Columbus, Ohio, died during the May 25-26 event, according to police.
One victim was found unresponsive in a tent on the festival campsite, and another died in a nearby motel.
The causes of death are being investigated, but preliminary reports indicate no signs of foul play or drug use.
The deaths are also said to be unrelated, save that both victims having attended Hookahville.
The biannual campout fest is hosted by Ohio band ekoostik hookah and is regularly patrolled by police and undercover officers because it’s "no secret that there’s drug usage," Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp said.
The band’s representatives could not be reached at press time.
