LN Awarded Gleason Theatre

A long-expected deal between the City of Miami Beach and Live Nation to run and rename the 2,700-capacity landmark Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theatre has been finalized, LN announced June 4th.

The Miami Beach City Commission voted unanimously to award Live Nation a 10-year deal with a 5-year extension to operate, manage and exclusively book the theatre, which will become LN’s sixth branded Fillmore venue announced in recent months.

"We are looking forward to bringing the people of Miami Beach a wide variety of world class musical talent to this beautiful venue for many years to come," said Bruce Eskowitz, LN CEO of North American music.

Live Nation expects to inject about $3.5 million into building improvements, including the addition of F&B facilities and a VIP seating and lounging area.

Wood flooring will be installed in the main music hall, facilitating a variable configuration of GA and reserved seating.

Sound and lighting equipment will also be overhauled, with renovations expected to begin immediately for a re-opening in the fall.
