Texas Thieves Jeopardize Series

A music series at the Wells Fargo Amphitheatre in Lubbock, Texas, is in jeopardy, thanks to thieves who stole nearly $20,000 worth of sound and stage equipment from the venue June 4th.

Less then a month into its summer season, Moonlight Musicals is without equipment including a sound board, wireless microphones and more taken from a stage room, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

"Last year, we had volunteers from our cast stay here overnight," Gerald Dolter, interim president of the group’s board of directors, told the paper. "We might be forced to do that again because we can’t afford private security." The intruders also broke windows and damaged fences during their visit to the venue.
