Rocking The Cradle Of Humankind

Attie van Wyk’s Big Concerts has named Baaba Maal, Joss Stone, The Soweto Gospel Choir and UB40 among the acts playing the South African Live Earth concert.

The July 7th show at The Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site at Maropeng, about 35 miles northwest of Johannesburg, is one of seven concerts scheduled to increase awareness of global warming and climate change.

The other shows are in Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, London, Hamburg, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro and New York.

The other acts on the South African bill are Angelique Kidjo, Danny K, The Parlotones, Vusi Mahlasela and Zola.

Live Earth has also announced that supermodel, actress, singer and author Naomi Campbell will be speaking from the stage at the show.
