Rock Ness Festival Death

A 39-year-old man died after being found unconscious in his car at Scotland’s Rock Ness Festival.

He was discovered by another music fan in the early hours of the festival’s second day June 10th. The death isn’t thought to be suspicious, according to a statement from Northern Constabulary.

Ambulance staff tried to resuscitate him at the scene and he was subsequently transferred to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

"Unfortunately the man died shortly after his arrival at Raigmore Hospital," the police statement said. A full investigation is under way.

Earlier, police arrested seven people for a variety of offenses, including three under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

More than 35,000 fans turned up to the two-day event on the shores of Loch Ness.

Acts on the bill included The Chemical Brothers, Manic Street Preachers, Groove Armada, Daft Punk, Mark Ronson, Kelis and The Charlatans.
