Kweller’s dates with Guster kick off July 20 at the State Theatre in Detroit and include stops in Indianapolis; Apple Valley, Minn.; Philadelphia; Northampton, Mass., and Sayreville, N.J.

The singer’s solo dates include stops at Schubas in Chicago (July 25), Variety Playhouse in Atlanta (August 7), Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, Fla. (August 9), the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (August 11), The Parish in New Orleans (August 15), the Bricktown Ballroom in Oklahoma City (August 20), Exit/In in Nashville (August 24) and the Starr Hill Music Hall in Charlottesville, Va. (August 26).

A highlight of the tour will be three dates at Southpaw in Brooklyn, N.Y., where Kweller will play each of his records in their entirety in order: Sha Sha (July 30), On My Way (July 31) and Ben Kweller (August 1).

Kweller will also make an appearance at the in Texas on Septemer 16.

It’s a safe bet the singer is hoping he won’t have a repeat of what happened to him at last year’s ACL.

During his set, Kweller was plagued by a bloody nose. When his guitar began to get covered in blood, he tried to staunch the flow by shoving a tampon up his nose, which then swelled painfully, causing him to cut his performance short.
