The new dates kick off October 13 at The Sage in Gateshead and include shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Cambridge, Cardiff, Birmingham, Harrogate and London.

Before heading to the U.K., Wainright will spend a month in the U.S. and Canada, topped off by a recreation of Judy Garland’s famed performance at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on September 23, exactly 46 years after it took place.

During his world tour, the singer will be backed by a full band at certain shows and will be supported at various times by a host of artists, including Sean Lennon, Neko Case, The Magic Numbers, A Fine Frenzy, Sarah Slean, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Joan as Police Woman, Teddy Thompson, Jason Hart and Andrew Rodriguez.
