Paciolan Agrees To TM Purchase
Ticketmaster has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding equity of ticketing services and software provider, Paciolan.
"Our decision to join Ticketmaster reflects our deep commitment to providing our customers with what they want and how they want it," Paciolan CEO Dave Butler said in a statement. "That commitment grows even stronger with this announcement, as we will have access to even greater resources, talent and assets."
It is uncertain how this announcement will affect Paciolan-based ticketing systems. Facility management company Global Spectrum has one, ComcastTix, and the company has said publicly it was using Paciolan to be independent of the TM system. The story is similar for Las Vegas’ Thomas & Mack Center.
Global Spectrum referred calls to Paciolan.
The announcement comes weeks after Ticketmaster’s parent company, IAC / InteractiveCorp, announced it has acquired a significant stake in Front Line Management, aligning the world’s largest ticketing company with the world’s most powerful artist management firm.
