Church Group Opposes Juggalos

Church officials in Cave-In-Rock, Ill., are trying to stop the Insane Clown Posse’s plan to host its annual "Gathering of the Juggalos" August 9-12 at a privately owned site nearby.

Shawnee Ministerial Alliance VP Greg Degrave, pastor of Levee Pond Church, said his colleagues are worried there won’t be enough police available to handle the allegedly rowdy fans known to attend the band’s events.

The alliance was scheduled July 10th to meet with a U.S. representative to discuss stopping the festival, hosted by Psychopathic Records.

However, Hardin County Sheriff Tom Seiner said he’d be contacting law enforcement in the surrounding counties and state police to recruit backup for the four- day convergence.
