Minister Calls For Fairer Ticket Price

Enterprise minister Micheal Martin is asking the public what it thinks about ticket prices and the hidden costs sometimes included.

He said he wants to investigate the price breakdown for concert, musical and theatre tickets to see if fans are being hit by added charges.

He believes booking fees and other charges should be included in the overall price, making it easier for fans to compare what the outlets are offering.

Fans and event promoters are being invited to make submissions during a consultation process.
