Construction Near Pantages

The Los Angeles City Council has approved construction of a giant apartment complex near the Pantages Theatre, to be built on the nearby parking lots.

The $400 million apartment complex will house 1,000 rental units in seven buildings, according to the Los Angeles Times, and is a further sign of rebirth of the once-seedy Hollywood business district. As for the Pantages parking, it’s a good thing, according to Nederlander spokeswoman Vanessa Kromer.

"The theatre itself will be fine and we are currently working on additional parking during the construction phase," Kromer told Pollstar. "Once the project is complete there will be dedicated parking spots for Pantages customers."
