Tix Corp Merchandises
Tix Corp. has acquired Exhibit Merchandising for about $11.5 million.
The purchase has been anticipated since December and one of the principals of Exhibit Merchandising – Lee Marshall – consults for Tix Corp.
The plan is to expand the discount ticketing company, which sells ducats for shows in Las Vegas, to other markets within the next year.
The merchandising company is expected to handle merch sales for Tix Corp. in the new markets. Exhibit exclusively handled merch during the touring King Tut exhibition.
Marshall and fellow Event Merchandise principal Joe Marsh also run Magic Arts & Entertainment, which has produced "The Magic of David Copperfield," "Lord of the Dance," Fleetwood Mac’s reunion tour and others.
Marsh and Marshall sold the company to Robert Sillerman in 1998 but once again now run their company.
