Virginia Tech Concert Hits Wrong Note
A September 6th concert at Virginia Tech to "promote healing" has hit the wrong note with families of victims of the April 16th school massacre because they feel including Nas as a headliner is disrespectful.
A spokesman for the families told the Collegiate Times the rapper’s lyrics "are indicative of the moral decay in our society that contributes to acts of violence," while Nas’ camp says he is "a pioneer of the socially conscious rap movement."
Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Phil Vassar are also set to perform for the community.
