Lil’ Wayne Sued For Money Toss
One of three women reportedly injured at an October 19th Lil’ Wayne show in Baltimore is suing the rapper, alleging she was trampled by a frenzied crowd after a large amount of cash was thrown into the audience.
Tyrique Layne was a 17-year-old freshman at Morgan State at the time. Lil’ Wayne was opening for Busta Rhymes at the university when a large amount of cash, consisting of mostly $1 bills, was tossed by either the rapper or his entourage into the audience, according to university officials.
Layne alleges that she was trampled, lost consciousness and suffered a "serious closed head injury" that required hospitalization. She has suffered from memory loss, lapses in concentration and frequent and severe headaches, according to the complaint.
Layne is seeking $1 million in damages and the suit also names Universal Records, Cash Money Records and Young Money Touring.
