Sheik will kick things off September 15 with a performance at The Wine Crush On Wells Street in Chicago.

Other stops on the singer’s schedule include the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa (September 18), The Theatre in West Palm Beach, Fla. (September 22), the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, Calif. (October 15), and the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colo. (February 7).

Tickets for the Chicago performance are available through www.duncansheik.com, while tickets for the singer’s Florida show are available through Ticketmaster.

Sheik’s 2006 Broadway musical, “Spring Awakening,” which is based on the controversial German expressionist play of the same name, took home eight Tony awards, including two for Sheik himself: Best Orchestration and Best Original Score.

The composer worked continually on the show, which also picked up the Best Musical award, with playwright Steven Sater over the course of eight years.
