Dennen will kick off his new schedule with a headlining run that begins September 2 at the at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, Calif. Other stops include Valentine’s in Albany, N.Y. (September 5), the Diesel Club Lounge in Pittsburgh (September 8), the Satellite Ballroom in Charlottesville, Va. (September 11), Exit / In in Nashville (September 14), the Music Mill in Indianapolis (September 19), Park West in Chicago (September 21), and San Diego Street Scene at the Coors Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, Calif. (September 23).

The singer will join Guster for the Crocs Next Step College Tour beginning September 24 at the University of Washington in Seattle. The trek will hit 15 college campuses around the country promoting eco-friendly initiatives and educating students on ways to help the environment.

Schools on the itinerary include Michigan State in East Lansing (September 30), the University of Indiana in Bloomington (October 2), the University of Vermont in Burlington (October 6), Vanderbilt in Nashville (October 12), Murray State in Kentucky (October 18), and William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. (October 27).

Dennen will share the stage with Australian jam-band faves the John Butler Trio for a run of dates beginning November 18 at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Highlights include stops at the Ogden Theatre in Denver (November 23-24), the Grove Of Anaheim in California (November 29), 4th and B in San Diego (November 30), The Warfield in San Francisco (December 2), and McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Ore. (December 9).

Dennen released his self-titled debut in 2004, followed by So Much More in 2006. Music from both albums has been featured on several television shows, including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House” and “Scrubs,” as well as in an ad campaign for Hilton Hotels.

The singer also contributed a cover of the song “Private Life” to the 2006 tribute album Drink to the Bones That Turn to Dust: A Toast to Oingo Boingo.
