Quoting an anonymous “insider,” the paper says the three original members and the son of the late drummer John Bonham will be playing The O2 Arena.

This year has already produced reunion shows from The Police, Genesis and The Spice Girls, among others.

When Bonham died in 1980, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones appeared to take the view that the band had died with him although there was a reunion for the 1985 Live Aid concert with Genesis drummer Phil Collins and another at Led Zep’s 1995 induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

If there was to be a concert, it would most likely coincide with the release of a greatest hits package or a memorial service for Ahmet Ertegun, the legendary record company exec who first signed them to Atlantic Records.

One source for the story appears to be NME, which reported a November 26 hold at The O2 in London.
