Pig Farm Amphitheatre On Hold

The 5,000-capacity McMenamins Edgefield Amphitheatre in Troutdale, Ore., has been successful since opening two summers ago, according to the shed’s director of development, Jimi Biron, bringing in Stevie Wonder and Etta James, among other acts.

However, just like every other amphitheatre in the country, some neighbors have voiced concerns over loud soundchecks, prompting owner McMenamins Inc. to consider moving the amphitheatre across the street, onto a pig farm.

However, despite local reports, the move is far from certain and a decision would be at least six months off if it becomes a reality at all, Biron told Pollstar.
