Caillat will get things rolling with a trio of California shows: September 13 at Adventure Hornblower Yacht in San Diego, September 14 at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana and September 15 at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

The tour gets rolling in earnest October 9 at Park West in Chicago, and will hit clubs and theatres scattered across the country through early November.

Scheduled stops include the Grand Ballroom in New York City (October 12), St. Andrews Hall in Detroit (October 16), the Senator Theatre in Chico, Calif. (October 23), and the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, Calif. (October 28).

Tickets for some shows are available through Ticketmaster.

Caillat is something of an Internet phenom. The singer began posting her songs, including “Bubbly” and “Tailor Made,” on her MySpace page last year and quickly became a sensation on the social networking site, scoring more than 10 million plays of her tracks.

A talent for music is something the 21-year-old Caillat comes by through genetics. Her father, Ken Caillat, co-produced Fleetwood Mac’s legendary albums Rumors and Tusk and later ran his own record label.

“My dad was always producing and mixing and he has a console in our house,” Caillat said. “All my dad’s friends are in the business, so I’ve learned from them. Now that I’m in it, I can go to them and they have advice for me, so it’s really cool.”

Coco, the singer’s first release, debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in July, where it has continued to do well, besting new releases by 50 Cent and Kanye West.
