Rahn Rises To New Challenges
Munich-based Armin Rahn Agency is launching a new division aimed at competing with Germany’s major promoters for international acts.
The 34-year-old company is better known for working with older and more cabaret-styled entertainers and ’70s and ’80s disco acts, with Bonnie Tyler, Bananarama, Commodores and Kool & The Gang among those mentioned on its home page.
But the "New Challenges" department will be looking to do shows with more contemporary talent.
"We’re a young team and we have the support of an established company," said New Challenges chief Sven Robin, who has promoter’s rep experience with Rahn, DEAG, Wizard Promotions, Pro Talent, Moderne Welt and what was Global Concerts.
A September 12 company statement claims the new department, which is currently recruiting staff to join Robin and his assistant Helene Sperling, will "develop new talents and support them with all international booking and management matters, as well as booking European tours and shows for established international acts."
Rahn Agency handles about 800 national and international shows, and corporate and gala bookings per year.
