The Game’s Afoot In NYC

A Manhattan judge September 20th let The Game go free on a misdemeanor charge of impersonating an officer on the condition he stay our of trouble for six months.

The performer (real name: Jayceon Taylor) was arrested last November after he told a cab driver he was an undercover police officer and instructed the man to run several red lights, police said.

He claims the driver ran the red lights on his own. According to Taylor, the driver thought somebody was following the cab and Taylor, who has facial tattoos, told him it was the hip-hop police and to step on it.

"I’ve never seen a cop with writing all over his face," Taylor said, contesting that it’s unlikely someone would think he was an officer.

The charge against Taylor will be dismissed if he toes the line.
