Front Line’s United Artists
Several management companies have moved into the same address as Front Line Management this year, including Jim Morey’s company.
Front Line has formed strategic alliances – as the company prefers to call the relationships – with several management companies over the past few years, including Strategic Artist Management (Dixie Chicks), A Fein Martini (Good Charlotte), Spectacle Entertainment Group (Jurassic 5, Rob Zombie), Doyle-Kos (Daryl Hall & John Oates) and Three Ring Projects (Michelle Branch).
Now under the same roof as Front Line at its Glendon Avenue location in Los Angeles is Morey Management Group, which includes clients Miley Cyrus (aka Hannah Montana) and dad Billy Ray, Kenny G and Macy Gray.
Also setting up shop at Front Line is Handprint Entertainment (Ja Rule, Mariah Carey, Tyra Banks), AA Music (Luis Miguel) and Jennifer Lopez Enterprises (J-Lo is not listed as a client of the company).
And that’s not all. Scott Siman and his RPM Management are now associated with Front Line, making Tim McGraw "strategically aligned."
Front Line – helmed by Irving Azoff and Howard Kaufman – is already home to Eagles, Christina Aguilera, Aerosmith, Heather Headley, Jimmy Buffett, Megadeth, Neil Diamond and even songbird Paris Hilton.
Many are wondering where all this consolidation or management affiliation mania may be heading. Could this be a model akin to United Artists, where actors like Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks created a collective that led to one of Hollywood’s most powerful movie studios? In this case, maybe it’s leading to a record company.
Who knows? Azoff and Kaufman are not talking.
