LEAs Move To March

The German Live Entertainment Awards have moved from February to March and will now fall two days after ILMC.

Apart from moving from mid February to March 11, the show is also moving across Hamburg, from Fliegende Bauten to Colorline Arena.

"However, those who enjoy the charming atmosphere of the Fliegende won’t have to worry because we’re working on turning the 15,000-seat arena into a charming party place for around 800 people," explained Jens Michow, head of promoting association IDKV and one of the leading lights on the LEA organising committee.

Last year’s ceremony made headlines when Marek Lieberberg stormed out after his Rock Am Ring failed to win the gong for best festival.

His staff followed him out, which meant there was no one to collect the other two awards the company won later in the evening.
