After finishing up their U.K. tour October 17 at The Forum in London, the trio will head to Japan for three shows: October 22 at Club Quattro in Osaka, October 23 at Club Quattro in Nagoya and October 25 at the Liquid Room in Tokyo.

The Cribs North American trek kicks off November 12 at Le National in Montreal and will hit clubs and theatres across the U.S. and Canada through the beginning of December.

Scheduled stops include the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto (November 14), the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, N.Y. (November 17), Double Door in Chicago (November 20), the Plaza Club in Vancouver (November 25), the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, Ore. (November 28), and the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles (December 1).

Following that run, the band will head back to the U.K. to play three dates: December 12 at S.E.C.C. in Glasgow, December 13 at G-Mex in Manchester and December 14 at Alexandra Palace in London.

Whatever is The Cribs’ third studio album and was produced by Franz Ferdinand‘s Alex Kapranos. The video for the single “Men’s Needs” is streaming on the band’s website, along with several other mp3s from the disc.

The band, which comprises twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and younger brother Ross, suffered a run of bad luck earlier this year, when vocalist/guitarist Ryan was taken to the emergency room after passing out during a performance in Birmingham.

His twin, was admitted to the hospital two days later with what turned out to be blood poisoning caused by cuts from the strings of his bass guitar.
