The event was created to generate awareness and raise funds for the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan. A portion of the proceeds from each concert will be donated to Oxfam America and the Save Darfur Coalition.
Last year’s Rock for Darfur concerts raised $50,000 for relief efforts, including basic supplies like clean water, shelter, blankets, soap and disease prevention programs.
