The band will play at least two shows in every city on the itinerary, beginning February 11-12 at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Mass.

Other stops include Town Hall Theatre in New York City (February 22-23), The Herbst Theatre in San Francisco (February 28-29) and The Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles (March 2-3). The band will wrap things up with a whopping six shows at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago (March 14-16).

All shows on the trek are all ages.

Distortion, which will be released on Nonesuch Records January 15, is The Magnetic Fields first release since 2004’s i, which featured 14 songs with titles that began with the letter.
