This Seat’s Saved
A barstool signed by Robert Goulet has become a collector’s item for a Syracuse, N.Y., tavern owner.
Ray Clark, owner of Clark’s Ale House, loaned out the bar stool for Goulet’s last performance September 20th during a fundraiser at the nearby Palace Theatre. Clark’s only condition for the loan was that Goulet must sign the stool before it was returned, and the deal was struck.
When the 73-year-old singer died October 30th, the tavern owner decided he’d put the stool in a place of honor instead of letting his patrons park their butts on it.
