Croatian Concert Controversy

A Croatian rock artist known for his controversial lyrics recently played a private show about an hour outside of Toronto with no incident.

Some groups complained that Mark Perkovic’s set could include an ultra-nationalistic song that glorifies anti-Semitism and fascism, which led to cancellations of the show at two Toronto clubs – the Kool Haus and The Docks – before a final secret location was confirmed, according to the Toronto Star.

Perkovic reportedly had to agree to respect Canadian hate laws before performing at the Queen of Peace Croatian Centre in Norval.
