The Centennial Spectacular will take place November 16 at Ford Center in Oklahoma City and is the culmination of a year’s worth of projects and events held across the nation to mark the 100th anniversary of the state’s entry into the Union. The event will be broadcast live on Oklahoma’s public television network, OETA.

Other famous names joining the celebration include Amy Grant, Shirley Jones, Willlard Scott, Blake Shelton, All-American Rejects, Patti Page, Broadway star Kelli O’Hara, opera soprano Leona Mitchell, New York Yankees’ All Star Bobby Murcer, Johnny Bench, Olympic gold medalists Bart Conner and Nadia Comaneci, Barry Switzer and the state’s five living Miss Americas – Jane Jayroe Gamble, Susan Powell, Shawntel Smith Wuerch, Jennifer Berry Gooden and Lauren Nelson.

Entertainment will also include three-time national fiddle champion Byron Berline, Oklahoma’s premier vocal group the Canterbury Choral Society, columnist Argus Hamilton, Pulitzer Prize winning poet N. Scott Momaday, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and the Oklahoma City University American Spirit Dance Company.
