Good Holes For Toyota Roof
The roof at the Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Moosic, Pa., which was heavily damaged last winter, is being modified to correct structural problems that made it vulnerable to heavy snows and other conditions.
The peaks of the roof allowed heavy accumulation of snow, which was responsible for the roof’s collapse in February.
The canvas replacement roof was shipped over from England and will have four reinforced holes cut to allow snow to fall through. The holes can be covered during the summer.
The modifications are estimated to cost $90,000, according to the Citizens Voice of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The Toyota Pavilion is owned by the Lackawanna County Performing Arts Authority and managed by Live Nation Philadelphia.
