Illness Sidelines Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor was taken to a local hospital last night after collapsing following her sound check at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The collapse was caused by a severe inner ear infection which caused a sudden case of vertigo, according to her web site.
The notice went on to explain that the singer was released from the hospital last night and is currently resting, but is calling off her show in Atlanta tonight.
“To ensure full recovery, Regina will postpone tonight’s show at Tabernacle in Atlanta until December 5. All tickets will be honored or refunded.
“The rest of her North American tour will continue as planned, beginning tomorrow, November 16, in Norfolk, Va.”
Spektor apologized to fans who were inconvenienced by the illness and said she will return to Nashville December 6 to make up last night’s show. Tickets for that show will be honored for the new date or refunded if ticketholders desire.
