TSO Power-Out

Trans-Siberian Orchestra rocked so hard at the Mississippi Coliseum that the troupe blew out the city’s power grid.

The 10,000-capacity venue, located on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds in Jackson, hosted TSO November 11th but the concert was halted mid-show after a portion of the city’s power grid shut down – presumably from the energy of the high-decibel Christmas show – venue director Mike Brinkley told Pollstar.

Violinist Anna Phoebe e-mailed Bravewords.com that the show went dark during "Good King Joy," then the band left the stage for 15 minutes until generators brought the show back to full power. She added the silence of the audience the whole time was "spooky" – at least until the golf claps started before they re-emerged on stage.
