The group, which was recently inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame, will spend the holiday season hitting primarily theatres around the country, singing songs from its Christmas album, Go Tell It On The Mountain.

The Blind Boys will make a Grand Ole Opry appearance prior to the start of the holiday tour November 27 at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The holiday trek gets rolling November 28 at Toad’s Place of Richmond in Virginia and wraps December 23 at the Mount Baker Theater in Bellingham, Wash.

Other stops on the Blind Boys’ Christmas Show itinerary include B.B. King’s Blues Club in New York City (December 1), Jefferson Center in Roanoke, Va. (December 5), the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia (December 9), the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles (December 17), and the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in Olympia (December 21).

The group has a number of other dates scheduled for 2008, including Feburary 8 at Duke University in Durham, N.C.; February 15 at Michigan State University in East Lansing; February 22-23 at Jacoby Symphony Hall in Jacksonville, Fla.; March 14 at the Rogue Theatre in Grants Pass, Ore.; March 20 at the Savannah Music Festival in Georgia; May 23 at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba; May 26 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary, Alberta; and May 28 at the Royal Theatre in Victoria, British Columbia.

Down In New Orleans, the Blind Boys’ upcoming release, is scheduled to hit the streets January 29.

The disc is anchored by a trio of world-class New Orleans’ musicians (David Torkanowsky, Roland Guerin and Shannon Powell) and includes guest appearances by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Allen Toussaint and the Hot 8 Brass Band.
